Voyeuristic Beekeeping

Posted by on January 11, 2017

Today we announced public access to what the beekeeping community has been talking about for over a year: Beekeeping.io’s map of active apiaries from around the world called BeeCounted.org. These apiary owners are taking hive readings, and uploading them to beekeeping.io so they can be displayed on this map. Adding dozens of apiaries every month, this map is the largest, current data set of live apiary data in the world.

If you’d like to add your apiary, you can get sensors from www.broodminder.com, and use their app to upload your data. The basic features of beekeeping.io are free, including uploading all the data you’d like.
